From Carlisle to Kendal, Ulverston to Ullswater, Cumbria Health Collective is growing and springing forward into blossom.

Did you know that every month just outside Ambleside there is a Sweat Lodge gathering, held by Richard Whiting at Sunny BrowThese ceremonies are designed to reconnect us with the land and promote, what the ancestors called, “original awareness”.  They can help to align us with the natural seasonal and planetary rhythm of nature; giving a sense of congruence and integrity.

The atmosphere is relaxed and people often arrive early for tea and chat. Bring food to share as there will be a fire afterward.  We will be entering the lodge at 12 noon for a 1700 finish.  Places are limited and booking is essential.

Ulverston Permaculture Project goes from strength to strength and shows what can be achieved when a dedicated team of people come together to make something magical happen.  Within the last year the UPP has really established itself and has weekly gatherings with an array of activities to get involved with.

And if you haven’t discovered Natterjacks in Ulverston, it’s about time you did.  They serve yummy home made cakes, fizzy pop, local ales and fabulous coffee.  They have art exhibitions in the cafe downstairs and if you needed to stay over night in Ulverston upstairs rooms are rented as a B&B.   First Monday of the month there is a film night too.  Just don’t ask for a Coke…you have been warned.

New this month will be Yoga at The Medicine Garden with Nicole, Shamanic Drum Making Workshops in Kirby Stephen, Lakes Tai Chi has more classes starting in March.
